Vaccines have been around for ages and have benefited an endless amount of people’s lives. They help prevent diseases and disabilities that can be caused by disease. The risk vaccinations pose are miniscule compared to the many benefits they give. Since the invention and public use of vaccines widespread outbreaks have been prevented and and many diseases and illnesses have been expunged. According to a study by the Centers for Disease and Prevention, “death rates for 13 diseases that can be prevented by childhood vaccinations are at all-time lows” (McNeil 2007). Children are the most vulnerable when it comes to diseases because their immune systems are still growing
